Short cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Short was dropped from Atlanta's 40-man roster Thursday after he put up a .517 OPS through 69 plate appearances with the big-league squad. The 29-year-old has already switched teams twice this year after being DFA'd by the Mets and Red Sox, but he will remain within the organization this time around.
