Peguero was reassigned to minor league camp Thursday.
Peguero was setting the world on fire during spring training, posting a 1.033 OPS with two home runs in 18 spring games. Unfortunately for the outfielder, there was simply no room for him on the Opening Day roster despite the hot spring. He'll head to the minors to provide organizational outfield depth, but he could find his way back to St. Louis if he continues to throttle upper-level pitching.
