Sosa exited the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Cubs after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
Sosa immediately ran off down the tunnel, which seemingly indicates he thought he was dealing with a fairly serious injury. Anything more than a bruise would likely wipe out the remainder of his season. Paul DeJong entered as his replacement and would likely reclaim the starting role at shortstop should Sosa be forced to miss time.
