Rodriguez was added to the 60-man player pool and will report to the alternate camp in Springfield, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Rodriguez was a non-roster invitee during spring training when he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, but he'll be a part of the Cardinals' 60-man roster for developmental purposes. The 23-year-old hit .268/.311/.391 with eight home runs and 38 RBI and briefly advanced to Double-A Springfield for the first time.
