DeJong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
DeJong started the past three games and will hit the bench after going 1-for-9 with three walks, an RBI and a run during that stretch. Tommy Edman will shift to shortstop while Alec Burleson starts in the outfield.
