DeJong is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
DeJong went 2-for-10 with a solo home run and a stolen base while starting in each of the Cardinals' last four games, but he'll shift back to a bench role now that top shortstop Edmundo Sosa (wrist) is back in the lineup to begin the week. So long as Sosa stays healthy the rest of the season, DeJong likely won't be in store for more than 2-to-3 starts per week.
