Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Royals on Saturday.
Goldschmidt gave the Cardinals an early lead with his two-run blast to center field in the second inning, but Kansas City went on to score the game's next six runs. The long ball was the 18th of the season for Goldschmidt as he pushes toward the 11th 20-homer campaign of his career. Goldschmidt has gone 4-for-10 with four RBI over his past three contests following a rough five-game stretch during which he failed to get a hit across 17 at-bats.
