Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Reds.
He gave the Cards a quick 1-0 lead by taking Tyler Mahle deep in the first inning. Goldschmidt homered on the last day before the All-Star break and hasn't slowed down since, slashing .371/.476/.829 over his last nine games with five of his 17 long balls on the season.
