Edman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and an additional run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates.
After closing out the series in Pittsburgh with another excellent game, Edman was named the National League's Player of the Week on Monday. Over a six-game stretch from Aug. 23 to 29, Edman went 12-for-26 (.462 average) with two home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and seven runs.
