LeBlanc (elbow) will be shut down for the remainder of the 2021 campaign, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
LeBlanc had trouble recovering from an elbow injury after he was placed on the 10-day injured list in mid-August. Manager Mike Shildt said Thursday that the left-hander will undergo a procedure, but he didn't offer specifics regarding the nature of the surgery. Although LeBlanc is slated to become a free agent during the offseason, he's expected to be ready for the start of spring training in 2022.
