Indians pitcher Corey Kluber turned in a fantastic start Friday against the Orioles.
Kluber tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings on five hits. He struck out 10 and walked two during the outing. Kluber only found himself in trouble once during the game. In the third inning, he managed to load the bases with one out. With his back against the wall, Kluber delivered. He struck out the last two hitters of the inning, escaping without giving up a run. Kluber was pulled after giving up a single in the eighth inning. He threw 116 pitches.
The Indians wound up blowing the lead, giving Kluber a no-decision. He’ll take on the Twins in his next start.
