Rasmus declined an outright assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake and is now a free agent.
Rasmus' 2016 season was one to forget. Between multiple stints on the disabled list, he managed to throw just 24.2 innings over 19 games. During said games, he allowed 16 runs off 25 hits and 16 walks, giving him a 5.84 ERA and 1.66 WHIP for the year. Due to his struggles, Rasmus will likely take on a low-leverage bullpen role, regardless of where he ends up signing.
