Rivas will be on the bench for a second consecutive game after he had started the previous five. P.J. Higgins will draw another start at first base and bat seventh in the series opener. With Frank Schwindel (back) still on the 10-day injured list without a timetable for his return, Rivas and Higgins will likely continue splitting time at first base.
