The Cubs activated Hollowell (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hollowell has been out since late July with right shoulder inflammation, but he's ready to go after making four rehab appearances. He's taking the roster spot vacated by Edward Cabrera, who was placed on the family medical emergency list.
