Paredes went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Yankees.
After getting a breather Saturday, Paredes returned on Sunday and keyed the offense with a two-RBI single in the first inning, which was enough for the win in the pitchers' duel. Paredes is still scuffling a bit, however, as he's batting just .207 over his last 10 games and is hitting .167 in 35 games overall with the Cubs since coming over in a trade. Despite the struggles, the 25-year-old should remain locked into an everyday role.
