Baez will likely continue receiving the bulk of the starts at shortstop after Addison Russell aggravated his plantar fasciitis, Patrick Mooney of CSN Chicago reports.
Russell's setback is expected to keep him out another three weeks, meaning Baez should keep getting most of his playing time at short. "To help the team, I will do anything," Baez said. "Playing short is my natural position, so I shouldn't have any problems with it." Baez batted .290 in August with seven home runs, 21 runs scored and 25 RBI, so fantasy owners hope he can carry over that success into September.
