Hudson signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs on Dec. 14.
Hudson last appeared in the big leagues in 2020 with the Mariners. The 32-year-old catcher spent the 2023 season at Triple-A Gwinnett in the Atlanta organization, posting a .767 OPS with nine homers. He'll provide catching depth at Triple-A Iowa.
