Fargas was recalled by the Cubs on Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Fargas was claimed off waivers from the Mets last week, and he'll join the major-league club as outfield depth following Friday's trade deadline. The 26-year-old appeared in seven games for the Mets this year and went 6-for-21 with four extra-base hits, three RBI and a run.
