The Cubs activated Gomes (concussion) from the 7-day injured list Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Gomes will return to the starting lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals after missing a little over a week of action. Miguel Amaya was sent to Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding roster move.
