Carroll went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Padres.

Carroll has hit safely in four straight games, going 5-for-15 in that span. His homer Friday was his first extra-base hit since his two-homer game in Colorado on Sept. 18. The outfielder has played in a career-high 156 games this season, producing 22 homers, 33 steals, 74 RBI, 120 runs scored and a .232/.313/.430 slash line, results well off the marks he established in 2023. However, he has a manageable 19.1 percent strikeout rate, so most of his downturn in production can be attributed to poor luck.
