Moreno (hamstring) has been removed from Sunday's lineup against the Padres, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Moreno was initially slated to serve as the designated hitter for Sunday's must-win game. However, he has now been scratched due to a hamstring issue that cropped up Friday, though he could be available off the bench as a pinch hitter. Pavin Smith will now be the designated hitter, with Jordan Lawlar entering the lineup in center field while Tim Tawa moves to first base.
