Walker (1-1) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and four walks while striking out just two batters during Monday's 4-1 loss to San Francisco.
Walker has now walked five batters through 11 innings and sports an underwhelming 1.55 WHIP over his first two outings. He has huge potential and has turned in a number of promising starts already in his career; however, game-to-game inconsistency has plagued Walker, and his transfer to hitter-friendly Chase Field adds another cause for concern. Still, the 24-year-old hurler boasts plenty of long-term potential. Looking at the immediate future, you should likely wait for Walker to string together a few solid outings before trusting him against strong opponents.
