Gallen (elbow) threw 60 pitches and four innings in a simulated game Friday, MLB.com reports.
This was the second significant outing for Gallen, who began a rehab assignment Sunday. The Diamondbacks plan to activate him for the series against the Royals which begins Monday. Gallen's schedule puts him in line for a possible start Wednesday.
