Wood (shoulder) is expected to return during the June 9-11 series against the Reds, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

His examination by team doctors "was as benign as possible," per manager Dave Roberts. Wood will miss a second start, but it sounds like he will be back next weekend for the end of the homestand. While the lefty's track record of injuries, his funky delivery and a spike in innings from a year ago are legitimate concerns, Wood has been excellent when on the mound this season, with Roberts going so far as to label Wood the team's "1A."
