Miller (2-3) earned the win over the Orioles on Thursday, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.
Miller kept the Orioles off the scoreboard through the first four innings despite issuing two walks in the third, producing three strikeouts over that stretch. He began to stumble in the fifth, however, hitting Eloy Jimenez with a pitch to open the frame before eventually coughing up a three-run shot to Colton Cowser. It was enough to earn the right-hander his first win since Mar. 29. Miller has lasted five or more innings in each of his last two starts, though he's surrendered at least three runs in four straight. Thursday also marked the sixth time in his last eight outings that he walked three or more batters.
