Seager (elbow) won't resume throwing until Monday, making him unavailable to start over the weekend, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Seager has been dealing with elbow soreness for a couple weeks, and while he's available as a pinch hitter, the issue will keep him from playing the field over the weekend. It may take Seager a couple of days to get ready after he resumes throwing, so he may not be ready to rejoin the starting lineup until next week's series against the Rockies. Chris Taylor is starting at shortstop Thursday, while Enrique Hernandez could also see a start at shortstop in Seager's stead.
