Herrera signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers that includes an invite to spring training, the Los Angeles Daily News' J.P. Hoornstra reports.
He originally signed with the Dodgers back in 2003 when he left the Dominican Republic, so it is a homecoming of sorts for Herrera. The 30-year-old spent the last two years playing for the Brewers, but it will be a lot tougher for him to find playing time with the big league club in Los Angeles.
