Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
After surrendering a leadoff homer to Kyle Schwarber to open the contest, Stone managed to keep the Phillies off the scoreboard over the next three innings. However, the right-hander began to struggle in the fifth, giving up hits to two of the first three batters he faced before eventually being relieved by Alex Vesia with two outs in the frame. It marked the second start in a row in which Stone was unable to make it through five innings, and he's now surrendered at least three runs in three straight outings. Stone has also coughed up at least one home run in six consecutive starts, posting a 19:7 K:BB over that stretch.
