Beaty isn't starting Game 1 of the NLCS against Atlanta on Saturday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Beaty is one of the favorites for playing time at first base during the NLCS since Max Muncy (elbow) was left off the roster for the best-of-seven series. However, Albert Pujols will start at first base and bat sixth in Game 1.
