Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Betts (hand) is participating in batting practice and that a return in a couple weeks is "very realistic," Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Betts continues to ramp up his baseball work in his rehab from a fractured left hand, and the finish line may finally be in sight. The 31-year-old could soon progress to live batting practice, and that figures to be one of the final hurdles before he's cleared for game action. It remains to be seen if Betts will require a rehab assignment before returning, but even if necessary, it may not be a lengthy stint in the minors.
