Hill (3-3) allowed seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over four-plus innings in Thursday's loss to the Indians.

The lefty began his day with three straight singles allowed, followed by a hit batsman, in what turned out to be a 40-pitch first inning. He allowed two baserunners to reach base to begin the fifth and was mercifully pulled after 105 pitches. Hill has looked nothing like the pitcher we saw when he was on the mound last season, and of course there is always the lingering injury concern with a player who has exceeded 111 innings just once in his career.
