Stripling was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation.
The Dodgers will make a corresponding move to fill Stripling's roster spot before Friday's series opener against the Reds. Stripling was tagged for four earned runs on five hits over 1.2 innings in Thursday's loss to the Indians despite pitching on three full days of rest. Thursday's blowup marked Stripling's second consecutive outing with at least three earned runs. The Dodgers figure to bring up a reliever to add bullpen depth while Stripling is down at Triple-A.
