Edman was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres due to a right foot/ankle injury, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.
Edman was penciled in to start at third base but will instead head to the bench. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic that Edman was removed from the lineup as a precaution after being hit in the foot by a Mason Miller pitch in the eighth inning of Saturday's 3-0 win. Alex Freeland will replace Edman in the lineup and start at second base, pushing Miguel Rojas over to the hot corner.
