Santana (ribs) was released by the Braves on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old pitched in 41 games for the Braves this year, compiling a 3.59 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 33 strikeouts over 42.2 innings. The move opened a spot on the 40-man roster for Tucker Davidson, who was added to the World Series roster to replace Charlie Morton (leg).
