Andrus will officially retire from professional baseball after signing a one-day contract with the Rangers on Friday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Andrus hasn't played anywhere since being released by the Diamondbacks in spring training and has decided to call it a career. The 36-year-old batted .269/.325/.370 over parts of 15 major-league seasons, making a pair of All-Star teams along the way.
