Not as many two-start options in Fantasy Week 2 (April 10-16) with fewer teams playing seven games than in Week 1. And with Rich Hill’s status up in the air for the end of the week (blisters begone), we can’t be sure any Dodgers pitcher will go twice in their six games.
The count, thus, is only 35, but like in Week 1, when a bunch of aces were going twice, a bunch of twos and threes are going this time around, resulting in a high number of quality options among those 35.
And some may well be on the waiver wire in your league. Brandon Finnegan is only about 70 percent owned coming off a one-hit, nine-strikeout effort and has some exploitable matchups. Charlie Morton, who’s less than 50 percent owned, even more so. He’s in the upper half of my startable two-start options for this week, so by the time you read this piece, that number may have risen significantly.
I couldn’t imagine sitting any of the top 21 if I owned them, and I could make a pretty compelling case for starting any of the nine after that. As always with the two-start pitcher rankings, it becomes a question of who you’d be dropping to pick up a Dan Straily or Matt Boyd type, and if you have a couple of two-start options already, what’s the point?
But don’t let me do all the thinking for you. Take a look at the choices and decide for yourself.
