Rays closer Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth inning in a 3-3 ballgame Wednesday against Boston. He kept it that way.

Rodney went 1-2-3 in his inning of work with two strikeouts to keep the game tied. He needed 15 pitches and his ERA is now at 3.68.

Rodney had recorded saves in each of his previous three outings since blowing his eighth of the year. Still, he's been a lot better down the stretch for the Rays.
