Dean was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.
Dean's first stint in the big leagues this season lasted only a few days, as he went 3-for-8 with a walk and a run scored over three contests. Willie Calhoun and Cole Waites had their contracts selected and Patrick Mazeika was designated for assignment in corresponding moves.
