Snell (2-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Nationals, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.

The veteran lefty stumbled a bit in the third inning, allowing all three of his runs, including a two-run shot by Juan Yepez, but otherwise Snell had little trouble with the Washington lineup and generated 32 called or swinging strikes among his 93 pitches. It was a strong follow-up performance to his no-hitter against the Reds on Aug. 2, and Snell has reeled off five straight quality starts with a 1.32 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB through 34 innings during that hot streak. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against Atlanta.
