Belt will travel to Los Angeles and Stanford in search of a second opinion on his knee injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Belt has been banged up by minor issues throughout the season and hit the injured list for the second time this year Friday with what's being called right knee inflammation for now. A clearer picture of the severity of the issue and his expected return date should emerge after he gets the additional opinion.
