Crawford (groin) will play a minor-league rehab game with Double-A Richmond on Monday with hopes of being activated from the disabled list Tuesday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Crawford had hoped to be activated from the disabled list this weekend, but soggy field conditions made it difficult for him to test his injured groin on the basepaths. If everything goes well during his rehab assignment Monday, the veteran shortstop could rejoin the major-league squad Tuesday in New York.
