Crawford (groin) will extend his rehab assignment an extra day and play seven innings for Double-A Richmond on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Crawford was expected to be activated Tuesday, but the training staff thinks he needs one more day before he's ready to return. If all goes well, Crawford will be activated Wednesday. The shortstop has been out since April 25; he had eight extra-base hits but just a .284 OBP before going down.
