Adrianza went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers.

Adrianza got the start at short in place of the injured Brandon Crawford (finger) and took advantage of the opportunity by connecting on his second home run of the season. It is a small sample size, but it looks like the glove-first infielder has figured something out at the plate this season with a .314/.364/.471 slash line in 58 plate appearances. Crawford's injury isn't considered serious, but he could still miss another game or two. If that is the case, Adrianza becomes an intriguing punt option in daily formats against Christian Friedrich (4.78 ERA) on Thursday.
