Kazmir had his contract selected by San Francisco and will start Wednesday at San Diego, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Kazmir will make his first start in the major since early July after spending the past three-plus months at Triple-A Sacramento. The veteran left-hander pitched well in his last two starts in the minors with a 3.75 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 11:0 K:BB over 12 innings, and he'll attempt to carry that success into the big leagues.
