Bivens (3-1) allowed two hits and struck out two over three scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday over the Mariners.
Bivens was called on for a long-relief assignment after Blake Snell walked six batters and allowed two runs over the first three innings. This was a sharp performance for Bivens, though it was just his second scoreless outing out of five since he returned to the majors Aug. 15. For the year, he's posted a reliable 2.51 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 28.2 innings over 16 appearances (one start). He'll likely remain in a multi-inning role moving forward.
