White Sox infielder Gordon Beckham made his first big-league appearance at shortstop Friday night against the Rays.
Beckham took over shortstop for Alexei Ramirez in the seventh inning. He singled in a run in the ninth inning and finished 2 for 4 with a run scored in an 8-3 defeat. He is hitting .328 with one homer and 10 RBI in 125 at-bats.
