The Guardians placed Cobb on the 15-day injured list Monday with a fractured nail on his right hand.
Cobb last pitched Wednesday, and it's not clear whether he suffered the injury that day or since then. He had been tentatively slated to start Tuesday against the Yankees, but with Cobb now on the IL, the Guardians could call up Joey Cantillo from Triple-A Columbus to take the hill Tuesday or Wednesday. Cobb has allowed six runs (five earned) over 10.1 innings in his first two starts with the Guardians.
