Gimenez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Diamondbacks.

Surprisingly, Gimenez's two-run single in the sixth inning marked the first time he'd knocked in any runs since July 13. He's added just two runs scored over 15 contests in that span. Gimenez hasn't been a total slouch -- he's on a 10-game hitting streak, going 14-for-38 (.368) in that span, but it's been a fairly empty average with just three extra-base hits, all of which are doubles. For the season, the second baseman is at a .256/.303/.342 slash line with five home runs, 17 doubles, one triple, 47 RBI, 46 runs scored and 16 stolen bases over 104 contests.
