The Guardians added Martinez to their ALDS roster Monday.
He's an injury replacement for Tyler Freeman (oblique). Martinez slashed .232/.298/.338 with three homers and three steals over 43 games with the Guardians this season. The switch hitter should serve as a backup at several positions.
