Boyd (elbow) is scheduled to make a rehab start Thursday for Triple-A Columbus, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
After starting his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on July 16, Boyd has made his last two starts at Double-A Akron, combining to allow one run with eight strikeouts across nine innings. The left-hander will advance to Triple-A on Thursday and may need only one or two starts with Columbus before being reinstated from the injured list.
